Ballistic Minute with Sergeant Bill
If you are serious about defensive pistol training or competition, video is a tool you should be using. Video doesn't lie. Bill talks about how using video can show you what you're doing wrong, what you should be doing, and how to use video to improve your technique.
Aaron Israel of Fundamental Defense
This week Aaron talks about keeping positive control of your firearms and securing them, especially if you have children. If you stage a gun in the car, like the mother whose gun fell into the hands of her child in the backseat and was subsequently shot, there are better options. Mounted holsters and safes for use in the car will prevent the firearm from dislodging. You also need to consider who else has access to your vehicle and consider more secure options or a switch to on-body carry. Aaron discusses the downside to off-body carry and the discipline required if you choose that option for concealed carry.
Avoid Making the Concealed Carry Mistakes I Made
I share the different concealed carry mistakes that I have made over the years in hopes that you can avoid making them yourself. Get the most reliable firearm you can afford, get a good custom holster, carry every day, always carry with a round in the chamber, and more.
Clinging to God and Guns
In today's segment we take on an article from the Her.meneutics Blog at Christianity Today called “Why All Christians Can Back Better Gun Control” by Sharon Hodde Miller, written in the aftermath of Newtown. Ms. Miller claims that we, as Christians, are called to object to gun laws because she believes they are perpetuating violence, ignoring the criminal element and human nature.
Prayer of the Week
Merciful Father, who by the humiliation of Your Son raised up the fallen world, grant to Your faithful people perpetual gladness, and make those whom You have delivered from the danger of everlasting death to be partakers of eternal joys; through the same Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
